I am Lawanda “Elle Michell” Hall, a seasoned professional in the world of risk management and insurance with over 25 years of experience. My journey in this field of work actually began more than 30 years ago when I chose—very intentionally—to make risk management + insurance my vocation. Since then, I have garnered education and global experience as I have held a variety of progressive roles for Fortune 500 companies.
What sets me apart is my commitment to making risk understandable. I believe in using plain language, educating my clients every step of the way, and translating complex risk challenges into concepts that are easy to digest. I train my clients to think in terms of risk as they navigate all facets of their business.
A proud graduate of Georgia State University—home to one of the nation’s top risk management programs—I’ve had the privilege of managing a diverse array of risks throughout my career. Each challenge is an opportunity that I approach with curiosity, confidence, and a commitment to excellence.
When I am not immersed in the world of risk, you will find me advocating for foster children as a CASA and supporting the arts in Atlanta and abroad. My global reach and community focus are at the heart of who I am, both professionally and personally.

Intelligent Intentions is a boutique consulting firm that brings big-company expertise with a personal touch to the heart of small businesses. We engage with business owners to operationalize future-forward risk management strategies that support sustainable growth and resilience.
Our passion for this work stems from a simple truth: too often, small businesses face existential risk after the loss of a founder or a major setback. The reason we do this is to ensure that these businesses proactively manage their risks, becoming more resilient and capable of creating a legacy for future generations.
Too often small businesses are not awarded business even though they have checked off all of the procurement boxes. The reason for the denial is often a matter of risk. Once upon a time our founder was responsible for saying “no” to potential vendors because they were not risk-responsible enough to work with the large companies she represented. Now, she is driven by the joy of helping them get to that “yes.”
Here at Intelligent Intentions, we make it possible for small businesses to rise to an enterprising level, blending big-firm experience with a personal touch. Intelligent Intentions exists to amplify the success of its clients.

She has spent the last 20 years holding progressive roles in the Risk Management & Insurance profession.
Her life and career experiences, paired with her passion for serving people, strong problem-solving skills, and creative energy, create the foundation for her work as a thoughtful and effective coach.
